In Pokemon gold, Tm08 (Rock Smash) can be obtained in two ways:

1. You can get it from the guy near where the Sudowoodo was (the violet side).
After battling Sudowoodo, just talk to the guy. He will reward you with it.

2. It can also be purchased for $1000 at the Goldenrod Department Store.

On Pokemon Gold of DOES NOT sell TM8(rock smash) so why don't you stop lieing to everybody and actually tell us where to get rock smash so i xan get the three legendary dogs. This isn't cool.

I know this is late but Goldenrod Department Store does sell TM08, but only after you've already gotten it from the guy on Route 36.
