What do you do with the guy at cerulean that says his itemfinder is beeping?

There is no hidden item near where he is, but if you surf along that path to the right, you'll be able to find a Berserk Gene somewhere...

Oh this is easy you go to the place right beside him in the water then you keep moving away until you pick somthing up

Well, there isn't a hidden item near where he is, but if you use your item finder, you'll notice that there is indeed a hidden item. To your left, there is a path where you can surf.

Well, if you go north towards Nugget Bridge and past that, you'll see an open area where you have access to the water.

So, go to it and surf alog that path. In the corner of a turn is the hidden item, which is a berserk gene. There is only one of that item in this game, so I would save it. Rate this answer!
