I've heard that shiny Pokemon are stronger, and I've seen posts saying there is no difference.
Do they grow faster, have more special stats, do anything different than normal colored pokemon? (other than being some other color and hard to find)

Shiny Pokemon have no statistical advantages over normal colors. They're just rarer.
Nah, theres absolutly no difference in the shinys and normal Pokemon, shinys just look cooler, thats all.
There is only one diference about them and that is their colour
There is no difference between a regular and a shiny Pokemon whatsoever. Except that shinies glitter in battle and display a diferent color, of course.
Colored are better. Ive derived a formula and I have a shiny butterfree. It is level 10 but the equivalent of an average level 13 guy. Comparitively I also have a normal one at level 50 but it is only the equivalent of a level 41 guy. Normal butterfrees are nearly 20 % worse than average. Colored is 30% better. That means that in this case colored is 1.5 times better than normal.
Ive noticed a similar trend with shiny gyrados but I have yet to test it
SHINIES ARE BETTER IN CRYSTAL YOU GUYS, THEY HAVE PERFECT IVS WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. From G/S/C onward, no they aren't.
