how to beat red?

U Have to have very strong 6 pokemons in your party. Fist of all U must have this 6 pokemons- Espeon, Feraligatr, Umbreon, pidgeot, Victreeble and Suicune. Fisrdt of all red will send out pikachu, Use ur feraligatr {remember ur feraligatr must know ice beam} Use ice beam to get rid of pikachu. For His blastoise and Venasuar use ur espeon's psychic attack. To get rid or Charizard use Surf of feraligatr. Use suicune's aurora beam to get rid of snorlax and umbreon's bite attack to get rid of espeon. level your pokemon up to lvl.80-90

You need Pokemon 80 - 90 or have a lvl 100 pokemon

That is really overkill. You just have to play it smart. I beat him right after I got all badges, with:
Meganium (lv50), Kadabra (lv48), Miltank (lv46), suicune (lv43), noctowl (lv46) and lapras (lv49).

The trick is to always try to use types that are strong vs his pokemons or that are just strong alltogether. Meganium I used vs pikachu (electricity is weak against grass) and blastiose, and suicune/lapras vs charizard. Noctowl vs venusaur (flying is strong vs grass + you can dodge solarbeam with fly). Espeon and snorlax I just put to sleep and kept bashing with alll I had and used revive and (hyper)potions on my fainted Pokemon untill I killed them.

What I found really important is to have some tanky pokemons (e.g. Lapras, meganium, miltank) and preferably some that can put to sleep/confuse(e.g. Lapras, noctowl, kadabra), so your Pokemon will get hit as little as possible. They´ll always die pretty fast otherwise (unless they are as high level as reds Pokemon ofc).

The last comment is right. Pikachu is easy because it's not very good. First off, spend the money and time to get the Larvitar in Kanto then evolve it into Tyranitar. Mine was at lvl 60 the first time I defeated Red. It had the moves Crunch, Rock Slide, Earthquake, and Fire Punch. Use Earthquake against Pikachu, and it will drop in one or two shots. Just keep using Rock Slide against Snorlax and it will flinch sometimes. It will take awhile to bring down Snorlax, he's actually the hardest of the six. Espeon can't hurt Tyranitar because it only knows Psychic moves. Use Crunch on espeon. For Venusaur, you can use earthquake or fire punch. For Charizard, use rock slide, and switch to a good grass or electric for blastoise. I recommend Raikou if you got him or Raichu with Thunderbolt/Thunder.

I beat him with a Lvl. 54 Umbreon, Lvl. 47 Suicune, Lvl. 47 Rhydon, Lvl. 47 Typhlosion, and Lvl. 48 Gyrados. My 6th Pokemon was a Lvl. 12 Bellsprout that I use as my HM slave. I beat the Pikachu with my Rhydon. That was easy. Then I used Umbreon to beat the Espeon. Then I used Rhydon again to beat Snorlax. I used dynamic punch to confuse it, then hit it about 6 times with earthquake. I beat the venasaur with my Typhlosion. I beat the Blastoise with my Umbreon. Last I beat the charizard with my Gyrados. I never even needed to use Suicune.

I used a haunted with curse, spite (the move that takes pp away from the last move the opponent used (it helps cut down on his ability to rest for a long time) and confuse Ray, the haunted was lvl 37. It didn't take very long to defeat the snorlax like this, as haunted is impervious to his offensive attacks and he can't rest away the damage that his confusion and curse will cause him. As for the other Pokemon, I killed puma with an ice punch from my lvl 71 feraligatr, charizard with ice beam, ice punch again for venesaur, his espeaon was kind of annoying, but I ended up hitting it with bite and surf from.my fraligatr(needed a few hyper potions) and blastoise I kept hitting with bite from my fraligatr while also mixing in a few potions cause I was out level
