How do you evolve pichu into pikachu?

You have to raise its friendship lvl. There are various ways to do so.
1. Use HP UPs, Proteins, Irons, etc.
2. Give it haircuts everyday in Goldenrod Tunnel. I think it takes about 20 or so.
3. Defeat opponents using Pichu. Not recommended b/c if it faints you will lose a lot of your hard work.
