Question for Pokemon Blue

I'm re-playing the game and I want to know what a good choice for a startup team is. This is what I have so far, i'm only in Mt. Moon.

Rattata: lv.12
Charmander: lv.13
Pidgey: lv.11
Geodude: lv.10

Try getting them all to level 20, becuase Misty will defeat htem all especially Geudude and Charmander/Charmeleon if you evovle him.

You're not doing bad but to me Rattatas are pretty useless, so i'd put it in your storage system and catch yourself a Paras while yor at Mt.Moon. Try nd level your Charmander up to level 25 and have it evolve at that level. As for Geodude, it doesn't stand a chance against Misty so make sure it's at least level 20 and use it for the trainers in the Gym. Raise your Pidgey to level 20 and have it evolve then into Pidgeotto. If you do catch a Paras then raise it to level 18. Then leave Mt.Moon.

What I did was I went to veridian forest and caught a pikachu. And I just leveled him up to fight misty. I also chose bulbasaur because he has the type advantage against brock and misty.

Ditch rattata, replace with water and if you can get a butterfree, they are quite good just always underated.

Hope this helps =)
