I need a strategy to catch snorlax. It just doesn't wanna get in the damn great ball.

Well, you'll obviously want to whittle down it's HP. Get a Pokemon that can paralyze it or put it to sleep as well. Snorlax is notoriously difficult to capture, but if you get it's HP down and inflict a status, you'll have a lot easier of a time.

Use Kadabra, Kenisis. Then Disable him until his Headbutt is gone. After a few attacks, he will fall asleep. NOW IS YOUR CHANCE! It may take a couple Great Balls, but he will be 90% more easier to catch this way. Hope this still helps. =3Pravinj answered:

The way to catch snorlax is to buy some supplies. Peanut butter, Grape jelly, and wheat bread will get the snorlax interested. After it lets it's guard down try injecting it with amphetamines. Try to "rest" now big guy. At this stage all you need to do is cautiously engage. Like the above posters mentioned, whittle it's health then inflict status ailments. I usually bring 10-20 great balls.

Bring a quite a few great balls. Teach one of your Pokemon ie wartortle Ice Beam (girl in celadon dept st top floor give her the 3 diff drinks to get it) and freeze it solid then whittle down it's HP. Try paralysing it or even ironically putting it sleep with clefairy. Good luck you can do it with a great ball. Save right before you wake him up for numerous attempts.

Wait for Snorlax to Rest. When he's asleep, you can use a great ball to catch it.

Just throw a great ball at it when it rests, I battled this thing about 20 times with all your "assistance" and not once did it work. I'd say doing this is a lot less agrivating and more cost effective.

Wait until Snorlax uses rest and falls asleep. It only took me two great balls to catch it once it fell asleep.

You can buy 15 normal Pokéballs and sand-attack him untill he can't hit anything. Then you just throw every ball you have and miraculously, on around the last one he will just be captured! I saw it on a youtube video and tried it and it totally worked!

Get a paralyzing Pokemon and disable headbutt, then wait for him to fall asleep
