I can't find the mandrake root for the herbology list. Can anybody tell me where it is?

You must at the southern part of school(outside).Walk south until you reach the gate outside,walk left and you can find a plant growing beside the trees, press it and you can find the mandrake root.
Has anybody found the plant with the boomslang skin I can tell you where it is
