If you want to get an egg from the breeding center quickly simply drop of the Pokemon you want to breed and ride your bike somewhere without any wild pokemon or trainers for about 10 minutes. Now go back to the breeding center and the old man should have the egg for you. You can also do this to hatch the egg.
