Orange: G-Shock '90s Classic

This Clear Springs Trail race is an off-road, point-to-point worth 180 Points towards the next Wristband and $13K to the winner (not including bonuses).

Restrictions for this race are Class-A cars or below, manufactured between 1990 and 1999.

Here is the thing about this race -- you CAN choose to run it with an exotic -- that is what your rival chooses to do -- but IF you do you will be spending more time downshifting and using the brakes than you will using the accelerator. You are way better off using a car that is better suited to the course.

I chose the VW I have set up for off-road racing -- bearing in mind that the only advantage an exotic has over the VW is the very brief section of paved road at the end of this race, and if you are driving aggressively and not making mistakes, that paved section will not present sufficient space to allow the exotics to catch you up.

Granted the VW is not a sexy ride, but it sure beats shredding a million-dollar car. Just saying. Plus as Charley likes to say, there is nothing like Winning!
