Introduction

Final Fantasy VII was one of the most influential games of it's time, it had state of the art graphics, a killer storyline, maybe one of the best battle and equiption system (besides Final Fantsy VIII) that has came out for a Final Fantasy, games, Though it has it's flaws it is one of the best games ever to come out for the Playstation console.

Graphics

Now while the background graphics and battle graphics are still good for todays standerds, everything else is kinda behind par, The Movie secquences are sometimes a little choppy and you can tell that they were kinda experementing there limits, there are one or to good movies secquences but the rest just fall short. It was however, very good for it's time

Sound

The sound was also very dissaponting compared to it's succsessers though again it was good for it's time, and you could sense again that SqaureSoft was pushing it limit's and experementing, there are some good parts and some bad. Nothing to extrodinary thought.

Gameplay

It's gameplay is one of the best to date, The Battle system is one of the smoothest to come out, Easy to control, Challenging but not immposibe, and who can't forget the golden saucer, wich mabye has some of the best minigames Final Fantasy ever offered. One of them even became a download for your cellphone, Only Final Fantasy XII and Legond of Dragoon offer better gameplay.

Lastability

This game last literly a month if you do all the sidequests, also though it is a little shorter than most Final Fantasys for the Playstation (3 instead of four discs) it still take a mighty while to complete the game, and with so much different stuff to do the lastabiltiy could range to kinda short to very very long.

Overall

Overall the game was very very good, with the best storyline ever to come out for anygame, breaking alot of gameing barriors, being the first Final Fantasy to have 3-D backgrounds, challenging bosses (Ruby and Emerald Weapons) and one of the most likably villens shehroth the game is just great.
