Introduction

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Now this one stands out from most of your Final Fantasy games. The game dosen't have much of a plot, but it is awesome. You (and seven other people if you want) are the hope to make sure your village dosen't get polluted with Miesta (mist that kills you). You must go to Mana trees, and gather a drop of Mana from three each year.

Graphics

These have got to be some of the best Final Fantasy graphics yet. There are lush envoriments. A static images fail to show this games true grapics. You can see every invidual hair on the chacters head. Also, you can see every indvidual hair on a moggle's body, and that's a lot of hairs pal. The effects arn't too bad either, the fire looks like fire, the ice looks like ice. Seriously, those guys at Square-Enix sure knew what they were doing.

Sound

The sound is simply amazing. Simply amazing. I don't even know where to start at. Well, I guess I can start at the sound effects. I have to say, they are pretty amazing. When something burns, you hear crackles, when something gets shocked, you hear lighting. Now for the overall music, not bad, very good actually, no, excellent. The music is just, my god...I could add some of them to my MP3 while I'm at it. Once again, I shouldn't expect anything less from the guys at Square-Enix.

Gameplay

Alright, I'll point out some of the features that make this game different then every other Final Fantasy. Unlike the before, this is Real-Time people, not turn-based, real-time. If your a Final Fantasy veteran, this can take a while to get used to, but you will eventually. Also there are no random battles in this, but there are random cut-sceans. Now, you can play this game two different ways. Co-op, and single. I'll briefly explain single. In single, it's pretty much basic gameplay. Now Co-op. In single mode, going to the pause menu (which you costimize your items, weapons, etc;) pauses the game, in Mulitiplayer, it dosen't so you better be pretty fast with those buttons. Also, instead of a moogle holding a chalice, one of the players has too. This means that no bratty players can stay behind, or else they'll die from the Miastea. You need up to four Game Boy Advances and four Game Boy Advance/GameCube Link Connectors to play Co-op, so keep that in mind while you're planning to play with your buddies.

Lastability

Now, if your alone, this game could grow old a little quicker than if you have your friends. If you have your friends, you'll have one hell of a time, and even after you beat it, I can gaurentee you'll still be playing it. I mean, what's more fun than three of you friends killing monsters and travling to new places. I ask you!

Overall

Now overall, I have to say that this is my favorite Final Fantasies of all time. I mean, me and my friends have so much fun out of playing it. The worlds are amazing, the music is spectaclar. The graphics are awesome. Infact this is one of my favorite games of all time as a matter of fact. It's probably the best Co-op game of all time as well. I salute you Square-Enix, great job!

Final Score: 92%
