Cowafornia Dairy (2013)

This is the second of a two-mission set (the Real California Milk and Cowafornia Dairy Missions) that collectively (if informally) have become known as the “California Cows Missions” (this is a pop-culture reference to the successful series of television commercials that was also created by the California Dairy Association - check out this video/commercial on YouTube if you don't know about this madly popular series of commercials: http://youtu.be/VSdLMhaGbPY).

With respect to the name and the large (and familiar if you live in California) logo on the barn and popping up over the cow heads, yes indeed this is an advertising tie-in - specifically from the California Dairy Association. The good news is that this campaign has a fixed period to run and, once that ends, the logos will be removed from the game. The bad news is that it has a fixed period to run, which means until the promotion ends you are stuck with the seal on your barn and above your cows :)

Quest I: Pasture Master

• Harvest 40 Crops
  
• Harvest the Hen House 1 Time
  
• Feed 3 Adult Cows
  

Quest Reward: 45XP and 450 Farm Coins.

Quest II: Who Cut the Cheese

• Collect 5 Cheese. (Feed Request)
  
• Harvest Yogurt Creamery 2 Times.
  
• Craft 4 Real CA Brie Recipes.
  

Quest Reward: 50 XP and 550 Farm Coins.

Quest III: Store Chores

• Tend the Chicken Coop 1 Time.
  
• Tend the Sheep Shack 2 Times.
  
• Tend the Goat Shelter 1 Time.
  

Quest Reward: 70 XP and 650 Farm Coins.

Quest IV: Fraiche Laiche

• Collect 5 Antique Milk Jugs. (Feed Post)
  
• Harvest the Water Well 6 Times.
  
• Harvest the Furnace 2 Times.
  

Quest Reward: 90 XP and 900 Farm Coins.

Quest V: A Very Merry Dairy

• Craft 30 Items.
  
• Use 4 Farm Hands on your Farm.
  
• Buy and Place 1 Baby Cow.
  

Quest Reward: 120 XP, 1100 Farm Coins and a Real CA Dairy Milk Jug.

Notes:

(1) The feeding mini-quest to unlock musical bell rewards is not part of this Mission or its Quests.

(2) The Dairy Barn Structure Quest is not part of this quest however you will encounter it prior to getting these Missions. The requirements for the Real CA Dairy Barn are:

Wrought Iron Hinges x10 (Feed Request)
Dairy Fence Pipe x10 (Direct Request)
Roof Shingles x10 (Direct Request)

Once you have placed the construction project and obtained all of the resources noted above you will need to request help from three friends/neighbors to complete building the Barn. Once it is built you can the house up to 12 Prized Cows within it, and any Prized Cows so housed do not count towards your Farm Animal Cap.
