Yogurt Creamery

The Yogurt Creamery is both a structure you can build on your farm and a member of the “Collection Quest” type of activity in the game.

Collection Quests in Farmville 2 basically require you to build their structure and then both maintain a specific minimum number of adult animals of specific types, and regularly harvest (feed) them in order to produce the special resource that is used to create the collection items - in this case Milk Droplets that are collected in the Creamery to create the rare and special Yogurts that make up the collection.

In addition to producing these collection items, the Creamery ALSO produces plain yogurt, which is used as a crafting resource both for Kitchen Crafting and for other quests. For example there are some quests that require you to make x number of Strawberry Yogurt, for which you use Strawberries and the plain yogurt that is produced in the Creamery as a byproduct of its regular operation.

The Yogurt Creamery Construction

Once the server prompts you to place the Creamery construction project, you place it and then obtained the resrouces (building material) that is required. To build it you will need:

  • x6 Milk Cans (Feed Post)
  • x7 Stone Blocks (Direct Request)
  • x8 Wood Planks (Direct Request)

Once you have collected all of those and applied them you must seek out the assistance of three neighbors in order to actually complete building the structure.

Creamery Operations

With your Creamery now built and in-place its operation depends upon the presence of adult Dairy Animals - basically that means Cows and Goats. They must be ADULT, not Prized or Baby.

Goats: When fed will produce between x1 and x4 Milk Droplets. Cows: When fed will produce between x3 and x15 Milk Droplets.

Bear in mind that the ration of Milk Bottles to Milk Droplets is 1-to-1 for Goats, and 3-to-1 for Cows, so for example a Goat that produces x3 Milk Bottles will produce x3 Droplets, whereas a Cow who produces x3 Milk Bottles will produce x9 Droplets.

How many Droplets are produced can vary significantly from type to type, so you will want to check the stats in the Store to see what versions make the most sense for you to add to your farm.

Plain Yogurt Statistics

While you are hoping that each time you process a full can of Droplets it results in a special collection item Yogurt, you should bear in mind that in addition to the chance of that, the Creamery is also going to produce a steady supply of Plain Yogurt, which you can use as a crafting resource.

Plain Yogurt production follows this percentages:

  • x3 Yogurt = 70%
  • x4 Yogurt = 15%
  • x5 Yogurt = 10%
  • x6 Yogurt = 5%

As with all crafting resources, Plain Yogurt has no shelf life or expiration date, so you can accumulate as much as you like, or try to use it as often as you like - it is entirely up to you!

The Collection System

To activate the timer for the Creamery and its collection you must have a minimum of x4 dairy animals on your farm. These can be a combination of Cows and Goats.

The collection system for the Yogurt Creamery is based upon three types of special Yogurt, with the following appearance percentages:

  • Uncommon Yogurt = 65%
  • Rare Yogurt = 25%
  • Ultra Rare Yogurt = 10%

To complete a full collection requires the following counts:

Uncommon Yogurt x6 (Orange topped Jars)
Rare Yogurt x4 (Blue topped Jars)
Ultra Rare Yogurt x2 (Purple topped Jars)

The collection prize - the Highland Cow in all its shaggy goodness!

The Prize

When you complete a full set of the special Yogurt, your prize is a Highland Cow - a big shaggy horned beast that will produce lots of wonderful resources for you and look good doing it!

Bear in mind though that as with all of the animal-based prizes, you receive this Highland Cow as a baby, not as an adult. So you are going to have to feed it baby bottles until it matures into an adult. The stats for the Highland Cow are:

  • Raise to Adult: Baby Bottles x8.
  • Standard Feed: x12 AFRU every 4 hours.
  • Prized Feed: x12 every 18 hours.
  • Feedings to Prized: x75.
  • Adult XP: 14.
  • Adult Resources: Milk and Cheese.
  • Prized XP: 100.
  • Prized Resources: Swiss Cheese.

Highland Cow Mastery
Yellow Ribbon = 48
Red Ribbon = 92 Feedings.
Blue Ribbon = ?

The Prized Highland Cow is eligible for housing on the new “Real CA Dairy Barn” which means that once your cows hit Prized status there is a place to put them that will not take away from the Farm Animal cap.
