, the Mud Wallow is “filled” when you feed your pigs, and when it is harvested it produces Crafting
resources in the form of Clay and Antique Coins, the former being purely a crafting resource, while the latter can be accumulated until you have a sufficient number in order to trade them for the new Spotted Hog Farm Animal, making for a circle of life all its own!
The Mud Wallow as placed on the Farm
After you place the Mud Wallow Structure construction project, the Village Grocer appears on the road with his pet Spotted Hog and Tips
you off to the fact that he has heard you are building a Mud Wallow and that he will be happy to trade you Spotted Hogs in exchange for any Antique Coins you find once you find enough of them.
Construction of the Mud Wallow requires the following resources:
- Faucet Piping x10 (Feed Post)
- Red Ball x10 (Direct Request)
- Pig Fence Post x10 (Direct Request)
Once you have these resources and have committed them, you will need to seek the assistance of three of your neighbors in order to complete the construction.
The Antique Coin Collection
As noted previously in addition to being a fun place for your Pigs to hang out and play, the Mud Wallow is also one of the Collection Structures in the game. Completing the Antique Coin Collection requires that you collect the following:
- Copper Coin x6
- Silver Coin x4
- Gold Coin x2
The collection places significance upon the number of Pigs that you have - you need a minimum of four pigs, but it will take into account up to eight pigs, and with each pig above four your chances of getting a better level of coin increases.
In addition to obtaining coins you will also harvest clay from the Mud Wallow each time that it is collected - these along with the special buckets of Mud you collect from your Pigs are used as part of the Crafting
system attached to the Crafting Kiln.
