Main Characters

Jason Brody:
Jason Brody is the main character in Far Cry 3, and the person that you play as throughout the game. His story is that he is visiting the island as a tourist, but things take a nasty turn involving slavery as you are forced to embark on a mission to save your friends.

Liza Snow:
Liza is the primary motivator for Jason's struggle. She is his girlfriend and one of the people that is abducted by Vaas when you first arrive on the island. She is at the forefront of everything you do while on the island.

Vaas Montenegro:
Vaas is the polar opposite of Far Cry 3. He has a definite insane twist to his personality, which leaves him seeking out sadistic punishments and plans for anyone that he comes across. Finding and defeating Vaas will be the ultimate goal for Jason. He is based on the North Island.

Hoyt Volker:
Volker is second in the pecking order to Vaas, being based on the Southern Island instead of Vaas' northern base. He is a slave trader, which instantly brings him to Jason's attention.

Buck Hughes:
Buck is one of the other insane inhabitants of the Far Cry 3 islands. He is under the sway of Hoyt and is one of the most violent and cruel characters that you will encounter.

Dr. Earnhardt:
Dr. Earnhardt is one of the chief 'friendly' characters in Far Cry 3. Although a drug dealer, Earnhardt will prove indispensible as a source of information in your hunt for Vaas and your missing friends.

Citra Talugmai:
Vaas' sister is Citra Talugmai. Fortunately, she doesn't share Vaas' unique personality traits and is actually a useful ally for Jason. She leads the Rakyat.

Willis Huntley:
Another of your allies, Willis is someone who can give you potentially-important informationabout the islands that the game is based on, as well as those who dwell upon it.

Dennis Rogers:
Dennis leads you to Rakyat people and teaches you how to become an ally of them.
