The bonuses are:

Day 3: 3 random common resources

Day 4: 2 uncommon resources

Day 5: 3 uncommon resources

Day 6: 1 rare resource

Day 7: 3 gems

When you reach day 7 it will reset and you will start at day 1 again.

Comfort can be raised either by having a house for that species in your garden which you can then buy decorations for (you can see how much comfort each item will give on the store's screen) or by having shelters in your garden (purchased from the store).
