F-Zero GX is a high speed futurisctic racing game. There are over 30 racers to choose from and 26 tracks. There is also a Story Mode which is new to the F-Zero series. This story mode is a great addition but is a bit short for some. Still unlocking everything takes time and this game takes a long time to master.
The graphics are exellent. Nintendo and Sega have really put some great graphics in this one. The lightning effects are very well done and great detail seems to be crammed into every little corner. If you have time too look you might notice that buildings in Mute City and other places actually have names to them. A perfect 10 here.
The sound is amazing in most cases but in some leevls the music is a bit dull. I thought the music in Port Town and Green Plant were quite boring. The Aeropolis music wasn't up to it's standards either. But all the special effects sounds and the voices were very well done. A 9 here.
The gameplay is brilliant. It takes a long time to actually get bored of this game. The controls are also easy to pick up and the game's difficulty increases steadily, great for beginners. Playing F-Zero GX almost never gets old. It's a game you can play for a long time. A perfect 10 here.
F-Zero GX lasts quite a while. If you're new to games then this can take up to six months to beat. Even if you're a master gamer (like me) it can still take a few weeks, The problem is that Story Mode is way too short, even on tougher difficulties it's too short. If Story Mode was longer then this game would get a 10 on lastability but because Story Mode is so short it gets a 9 here.
I would give this a perfect 10 or, to be more precise, 94%. This game would be a little better though if some of the music was better and Story Mode was longer. Still I recommend this as a must buy title. I would say that most people who like racing games would love this. Enjoy.
