Well it's all a matter of opinion. My opinion is that the games are better than the movie, as the experience lasts long than a 1h30min movie. There are no other movies (I wish).. Unless Last Order counts as a movie, I think it was a one off anime, someone correct me. The games are obviously the original on the PS1, which is the best by far. There's also Dirge of Cerebrus which is a first person shooter with RPG elements, set a year after the film. Not too bad, but not great either. There's the Japanese-only mobile game Before Crisis which was based before the main game. Last but not least there's Crisis Core, another prequel to the original game, it is an action RPG. I think CC is great, tops DOC by a mile.

Again I say it's all down to opinion, you may play the game and decide the movie's better. It all depends on what kind of games you like to play, and if you like the story behind each of them. If you like RPGs I recommend the original and maybe Crisis Core, shooters Dirge of Cerebrus may seem a little easy (I mean I can play it and I suck at first person shooters). Hope that helps
