Okay, I have been a fan of driver games ever since late 2002 and driver 1 was okay but dissapointing, driver 2, better but the graphics were bad and you only got a short variety of vehicles. DRIV3R, Much better but I got really bored after completing the game because you couldnt fly planes and their wasnt much to do. Driver: parallel lines? Wow!!!!! It has blown my mind!
The graphics were a tiny bit better than driv3r I mean look at the weather conditions, their so realistic and the shadow effects along with the sun but the graphic lighting varys on the different eras like 1978 is really dark at night and 2006 is allot lighter at night but other than that, the graphics are outstanding.
The music tracks really fit in with the eras and the car noises do fit every car perfectly and the sound of the guns is very realistic and so are the police voices. The only negative about the sound is the car engines sound really fake like I have never heard a car sound like the zenda.
Oh! Oh! It's very addictive. I have completed the game three times and I have never got bored of it when I played it and the fact that you can store cars and upgrade them is the best thing atari ever thought of in a driver game and the handling of the cars is very accurate and you don't have to start the mission all over again if you fail it, you simply get a checkpoint indicator.
I think the game will last about another 10 years or so because it is so fun and if you want a driver game, buy this one, I would recommend this game to all people who were dissapointed with driv3r. People who own it might complete the game 10 times in their life or so because it's the best driver game so far.
I have to say, this is the best driver game I have ever played and if I play it again, even though I have completed it three times, I would still be hooked but not for more than two hours, the overall gets a 9 because of the non realistic car sounds and the upgrading options, The upgrading is still good but it can use with a big improvement.
