What is the whole purpose of the kitten? What should I feed it to make it grow fast? Do I need to give it food AND milk? Can I not give it milk?

The Kitten has no real purpose. It's just a nice little thing to add to the atmosphere of the game. I think the main reason you should keep going to the Shrine to feed the kitten is because there are about 6 events that happen there throughout the game
