Last Updated:

The True Arisen (Platinum)

Collected all other Dragon's Dogma trophies.

The Laborer (Bronze)

Completed 50 notice board quests.

You’ll find Notice Boards in Cassardis, the Encampment, Gran Soren and Bitterblack Island. Gran Soren has four separate notice boards: in the inn, in Arsmith’s Alehouse, in the Pawn Guild’s upper floor and its basement.

Some quests in the notice board will only become available after completing the ones you have accepted. There are a lot of notice board quests so you shouldn’t have problems getting this trophy. Take note that you can even trigger Escort requests from various NPCs by raising their affinity and giving them gifts.

The Hero (Silver)

Completed all pre-planned, non-notice board quests.

It is recommended that you attempt to do this on your second playthrough, where you’ll have an easier time dealing with various challenges these quest may pose. A lot of these sidequests are missable so before moving in to the storyline, you may want to check this guide’s sidequests section for the main “checkpoints” where you need to complete the listed quests before moving on.

The required quests are listed below:

A Fortress Besieged

A Matter of Myrmidons

A Parting Gift

A Rude Awakening

Human Resources (Bronze)

Changed your vocation.

You can do this by talking to the quartermaster in the Encampment, the innkeeper in Gran Soren, Olra or Barroch in Bitterblack Isle. After reaching LV10 in your default vocation, you can change to the second-tier vocations (Warrior, Ranger and Sorcerer) and eventually, third-tier hybrid vocations (Mysitc Knight, Assassin and Magick Archer) You can change to any vocation while your main pawn can only change up to the second-tier vocation.

For new vocations, you need to purchase them for 1,000 DP (discipline points) which you earn by defeating enemies. Don’t worry though since you can change to ANY vocation you like and revert to the original one you selected. Better yet, unlocked augments from other vocations can be equipped even when you’re using a different vocation. This will give you the opportunity to experiment and mix various augments.

The Specialist (Silver)

Learned all the skills of a single vocation.

Concentrate on a single vocation and continue earning Discipline Points so you can max out the following: Weapon Skills, Core Skills and Augment skills. Secret Augments doesn’t seem to count for this trophy. The fastest vocation to max out is the Fighter which only requires 76300 DP.

The Veteran (Bronze)

Defeated 3,000 enemies.

This can be unlocked in the game’s natural progression, even more if you’re exploring much of Gransys and doing sidequests.

Local Recruit (Bronze)

Directly enlisted a pawn to your party.

You’ll find wandering pawns during the day or early evening along main roads or in Gran Soren’s city streets. They’ll cost a few rift crystals to recruit. Just recruit one of them to unlock this trophy.

Foreign Recruit (Bronze)

Enlisted a pawn to your party from beyond the rift.

You just need to simply touch a riftstone and recruit pawns from that dimension.

The Captain (Bronze)

Enlisted a large number of pawns.

You have to enlist a total of 70 pawns from the rift. Naturally, you’ll unlock this since you have to enlist new pawns because of level gap or re-arranging your party’s composition whenever you change vocations. If you want to unlock this trophy earlier, you can just enter the rift and keep summoning pawns, enlist them and exchange them until you get a total of 70 pawns enlisted.

If you’re online, it will be faster to disconnect and do this method offline to skip the rating and giving gifts.

Inhuman Resources (Bronze)

Changed your main pawn's vocation.

Refer to “Human Resources” trophy for more information.

The Savior (Bronze)

Used a Wakestone to restore the dead to life.

Carrying a wakestone will allow you to revive your self with full health and stamina in case your HP hits 0. Wakestones are found as random treasures, enemy drops (more common in Everfall) or purchased in Black Cat. There’s also a sidequest in Gran Soren called “Reaper’s Scorn” where you have to use a wakestone to revive a man’s son.

The Knave (Bronze)

Obtained a forgery.

Head to the Venery to find the Black Cat store. Have Mountebank forge an item for you to unlock this trophy.

The Artisan / The Craftsman (Bronze)

Combined two materials to make an item.

Combining materials is an integral part of the game and will allow you to make even better items. There are a lot of basic combinations available. Just check your warehouse or inventory and attempt to combine to check if you have combinable materials.

Well Equipped (Bronze)

Obtained 350 pieces total of weapons and armor.

This is something that you can’t rush. You have to collect various weapons and armor. For starters, I suggest going through the normal course of the game since you’ll find these as loot or quest rewards. Should you need to buy them, doing it later in the game will give you extra cash to spend on.

A Queen's Regalia (Bronze)

Dressed a male party member in women's clothing.

First, you have to have a male party member. Next, you have to buy a Set of Lady’s Garb from the The Black Cat in Gran Soren for 6200 gold. Equip that to your male party member to unlock the achievement.

The Philanthropist (Bronze)

Gave 50 presents.

You can give presents to almost anyone. Doing so will slightly increase their affinities and most NPCs may even give you additional Notice Board escort quests.

The Escort (Bronze)

Acted as a reliable travel companion.

Escorting is not easy in the game as the NPC you’re escorting will tend to follow you closely – even if you’re in the middle of battle. Fortunately, in DD Dark Arisen, you can deploy up to 10 port crystals which will make your job a lot easier. If you have to do it manually, avoid escorting at night, stick on the roads, avoid enemies and SAVE OFTEN.

Affinity and Beyond (Bronze)

Raised a person's affinity to the maximum.

There are different ways of maxing out an NPC’s affinity. Most NPCs can be given gifts which will help increase their affinities towards you. Some story-related NPCs will grow closer to you by completing various side quests. You’ll know if an NPC has maxed out affinity when you hear a chime/ring whenever you talk to them and when you see a purple/violet aura behind their heads with you’re talking to them. Here are some examples:

  • Use of the item called “Arisen’s Bond”. This is acquired by completing the quest “The Dragon’s Tongue”. Give it to any NPC to maximize their affinity. Interestingly, this can be duplicated through forgery in the Black Cat.

  • Sleeping at the inn increases the affinity to the innkeeper a bit.

  • Giving NPCs their favored items (usually included in the item description e.g. Cloudwine - Mercedes) will make it easier to increase their affinities

  • During the story mission “Pride Before Fall”, you can instantly max out Julien’s affinity by doing a series of steps. (Refer to the quest walkthrough for more details. )

  • Complete the “Bad Business” quest for Madeleine or giving her gifts

  • Complete “Lost and Found”, “Witch Hunt”, “Elsewhere Bound” and “Witch’s Brew”, as well as giving her gifts will increase Selene’s affinity to maximum

For additional references about love interests and affinities, refer to this link.

Into Dripstone Cave (Bronze)

Entered the azure caverns.

This cavern can be accessed through the well in Cassardis. You’ll have to explore it by doing a sidequest called “Deep Trouble”.

Into the Ancient Quarry (Bronze)

Entered the ancient quarry.

The Ancient Quarry is found southwest of Gransys. You’ll be able to enter it by starting the quest “Of Merchants and Monsters”.

Into Soulflayer Canyon (Bronze)

Entered the Soulflayer Canyon.

This is a vast cavern that connects Cursewood and Greatwall. You can discover the eastern entrance while clearing the Cursewood area or find its west entrance by following the valley southeast of Greatwall. You’ll also enter this area by doing the side quest “The Conspirators

Into the Manse (Bronze)

Entered the duke's manse.

Not to be fooled by the Duke’s demesne in Gran Soren’s Noble Quarter, this is actually the Blighted Manse, a closed property located to the far north of Gran Soren. The only way you can enter this is by doing the side quest “Duchess in Distress”. Take note that to unlock this quest, you have to finish “Arousing Suspicion” first. Refer to the side quest walkthroughs in the main guide.

Into the Frontier Caverns (Bronze)

Entered the southwestern caves.

The Frontier Caverns is only accessible through an underground tunnel inside the Shadow Fort. The tunnel’s entrance is near the main castle’s door.

The Tourist (Bronze)

Visited 50 locations.

Refer to the “The Explorer” trophy for more details

The Vagabond (Bronze)

Visited 100 locations.

Refer to the “The Explorer” trophy for more details

The Explorer (Silver)

Visited 150 locations.

Gransys has a lot of different locations, that includes the ones that are not marked in the map. For the main map, you have to make sure no dark/grayed portion is left undiscovered and you have to enter all cities, encampments, dungeons and various parts of the city. This will take a while to complete and will probably unlock while you’re doing notice board quests and side quests.

The Ever-Turning Wheel (Gold)

Completed the adventure a second time.

During New Game+, you have to continue up to the point where you have killed the Seneschal. Use the Godsbane item like what you did before to see the closing credits. After the credits, you’ll be asked to save your game again. Do so then once you’re back in the main menu, load the cleared save and you’ll start in New Game ++.

The Coin Collector (Silver)

Earned a total of 10,000,000G.

The best and easiest way to do this is by exploring Bitterblack Isle. The Bitterblack items found here usually fetch for a magnificent price. Combine it with the sorcerer’s “Sausion” augment and you can sell anything at a much higher price. There’s also an area called “Tower of Treasons Repaid” in Bitterblack Isle where you can manually summon a Cursed Dragon by placing a Rancid Meat Bait. Defeating this dragon will dragonforge the equipment your character has. You can further enhance these equipment through Barroch’s Rarefy ability.

The dragon is easily defeated by a Mage, Sorcerer and a staff-wielding Magic Knight or Magick Archer with High Comestion. The best way to engage it by staying inside the sewer area on the ground floor. The dragon will attempt to reach you. Cast High Comestion and place the marker directly underneath its heart. If it starts to fly, aim for its heart and shoot it down using High Ingle.

The Patron (Bronze)

Helped Madeleine open her shop.

After completing “A Rude Awakening” in the Encampment, you have to go to Cassardis and start the notice board quest “Guard Duty”. Simply escort Madeleine to the Encampment to complete the quest. She will then ask for 1000 gold to enable her to open a shop in Gran Soren. Give her the gold then continue until you reach capital.

Next, complete “A Matter of Myrmidons” then talk to Mason again to start the quest “Chasing Shadows”. Near the end of the quest, you’ll find Madeleine dealing with the knight you’re shadowing. Turn over the quest to Arsmith and wait for a few days until the Abandoned House marker over Madeleine’s shop disappears from your map. Simply talk to her to and buy something to unlock the trophy.

It Begins (Bronze)

Completed the prologue.

This is a story-related trophy so it’s unmissable. You’ll unlock this after completing the introductory quest “The End at the Beginning”

Onward (Bronze)

Departed from Cassardis.

Simply leave the town through its only gate/entrance and this trophy will unlock automatically.

A New Ally (Bronze)

Summoned your own pawn.

This is a story-related trophy therefore can’t be missed. You’ll unlock this trophy fairly early in the game, as soon as you obtain your main pawn.

Getting a Head (Bronze)

Earned the approval of the Enlistment Corps.

Refer to the “A Rude Awakening” details. You just need to complete the quest to unlock this trophy.

The Courier (Bronze)

Entered Gran Soren.

This trophy is tied to the main quest “Off with Its Head” after reaching Gran Soren for the first time.

Writ Large (Bronze)

Received a writ from the castle.

This is yet another story-related trophy that you won’t miss. After completing the main quests “A Matter of Myrmidons” and “Lure of the Abyss”, you’ll be approached by Ser Maximillian and you’ll receive a Wyrm Hunt License, which also opens another set of quests you can pursue.

Come Courting (Bronze)

Attended an audience with the duke.

This is tied to the main story quest “Come to Court”. This is offered after completing Wyrm Hunt quests. You don’t need to complete all WH quests but proceeding to the main story with this quest will automatically fail all unfinished WH quests.

The Message (Bronze)

Received the duke's commendation.

Complete all Royal Orders quests provided by Aldous. Once the main quest “Reward and Responsibility” starts, simply meet up with the duke and follow him to the treasury room. Loot everything inside the treasury to complete the quest and unlock this trophy.

Rough Landing (Bronze)

Completed the urgent mission.

This trophy is tied to the main quest “Deny Salvation” and will unlock upon completing the quest. You have to defeat two wights and their army of skeletons at the Greatwall’s topmost floor.

Destiny (Bronze)

Accepted the Godsbane blade.

You’ll obtain this item by defeating the dragon in the main quest “Final Battle”. Refer to this guide’s main walkthrough for more details.

Treacherous (Bronze)

Peered into the very depths of the world.

This is story-related. You just have to complete the post-game quest “A Warm Welcome” to unlock this trophy.

Freedom (Bronze)

Escaped the yoke of eternity.

You’ll unlock this trophy by collecting and handing over 20 Wakestones to Quince. Refer to the walkthrough for “Fathom Deep” for more details.

Mercy (Bronze)

Dealt the blow of deliverance.

This is automatically unlocked after landing the finishing blow to the Seneschal, during the post-game quest “The Final Judgement”

Solitude (Bronze)

Obtained the almighty power of sovereignty.

During the main quest “The Final Battle”, the dragon will give you two options; sacrifice your loved one or stand your ground and fight. Choose the first one to unlock this trophy. You can always load your last save and select the correct answer afterward.

Servitude (Bronze)

Soar unto a new world.

During the battle with the Seneschal during the post-game quest “The Final Judgement”, don’t’ do anything and let the Seneschal kill you.

Peace (Bronze)

Took refuge in an illusion.

In the post-game quest “The Final Judgement”, you’ll reach the part where you’ll be asked to move forward or walk away. Choose the latter to unlock this trophy.

Closure (Gold)

Put an end to all things.

After becoming the new Seneschal, open your inventory and use the Godsbane to kill yourself and restart the cycle. This is necessary for starting new game+ as well.

Headshunter (Bronze)

Defeated a hydra or archydra.

There’s a hydra in the Frontier Caverns by accepting a post-game notice board quest in Gran Soren. There’s also an archydra(?) in Everfall’s Chamber of Hesitation. It is weak against Fire and Holy attacks.

Eye Contact (Bronze)

Defeated an evil eye.

You’ll find one in the Chamber of Confusion in Everfall. It’s weak to Holy attacks.

Serpents' Bane (Bronze)

Defeated a drake, wyrm, and wyvern.

There’s a roaming drake south of Shadow Fort during the main playthrough and another one will replace the armored cyclops further south of the Shadow Fort, near the resting camp.

You can find a wyrm in the Offering Chamber inside the Watergod’s Altar or inside the Chamber of Distress in Everfall. There’s a wyvern at the top of the Bluemoon Tower and another one in the woods, west of Windbluff Tower.

The Messiah (Gold)

Defeated the Ur-Dragon

The Ur-Dragon is the strongest creature in the game. This enemy requires multiple encounters and may be fought offline or online. The battle only lasts for around 10 minutes. The dragon itself has multiple hearts that you can attack. These are marked by purple spots on its body. You’ll know if you’re dealing damage when you see purple blood spewing out on the spots you’re attacking.

For online battles, the rewards will depend on who contributed to its defeat and/or land the finishing blow. There’s a grace period where the dragon is killed; further encounters during this small window will allow the attacking party easy kills.

You can also fight the Ur-Dragon offline though it requires a much battle-hardened party (possibly Bitterblack Isle veterans) to defeat it.

For a more detailed breakdown about the Ur-Dragon’s abilities, stats and additional strategies, you may check this link.

Dragon Forged (Silver)

Strengthened equipment in wyrmfire.

You have to defeat dragons in order to have your equipment dragonforged. The last boss in the main story will automatically dragon-forge all your equipment, as well as the Ur-Dragon. Lesser dragons only have a chance to dragonforge your equipment.

Note: If you cleared Bitterblack Isle after defeating its boss, the dungeon will reset and the enemy compositions inside will be replaced by more powerful ones. The cursed dragon won’t appear anymore in that area when you use a meat bait.
