Introduction

One of the best games I have ever played. This game does it all, from epic story all the way to plot twist and brilliant graphics. Dragon quest appeals to all types of fans of graphics, sounds, stories, and just plain old good game value. I have played a lot of games both for the playstation and xbox but they seem to fall into three distinct caterogies. One being poor or too short of a story, Two being to focused on one aspect of play or the final one great story but horrible graphics.

Graphics

I loved these graphics. I felt at time like it could be a fantasy world for me that inspired me to start writting reviews again, heck maybe a short story too. They were not very crisp but they were more of anime and almost cartoony at times. They characters were very sharp looking and even the monster were nicey done.One thing I must admit was how drawn into the cut scenes were. Simply amazing.

Sound

The sound was good but it did get annoying after a while of hear the same music for the battles a little change up when the boss fights occured. Maybe a change of music or even a random soundtrack for each mode would have been a little better. Thats all I can complain about.

Gameplay

At first the controls seemed a little tricky but once I got useto it I was very pleased. The storyhits you with a ton of bricks. Everyone saw the commericals and thought why am I going to want to figh.t a jester. Well I thought it was silly too but there is a much darker and twisted part of the plot. They couldn't show you otherwise there would be no reason to buy it. On that note i'm not going to either

Lastability

Attimes I have shut the game of with pure hate for this title, but after cooling of I realized my mistakes and played it over again. If you a roleplaying gamer then you would find this game to be perfect for you. You will have more than a hundred hours of gameplay.

Overall

This is one of my favorite games in the roleplaying genre. I enjoyed fable but it was way to short, I enjoyed jade empire but it too much go here and bring back an item thing, Dragon quest shall be a hard title to be. If you enjoy final fantasy this is a must have for you. As I always say rent it before you buy it!
