At the start of Dragon Age: Origins you will be able to choose a class, Dwarf, Elf, or Human then a class and so on. After you create a look for your charcter you start their own unique prologue, and each is intuitive and descriptive. The only flaw is that when you create your charcter you really don't have many looks to choose from, other than that the intro is good.
The graphics are what I expected, good. The game looks good and the enemies look evil. The landscape can look really good at times and at other times amazing. The game is very descriptive in the enviornment and charcters you meet throught the game. I love the graphics in the game, flawless.
The music in the game is also epic, from the start of the war to the end of the game the music played a big role. The seriousness of the game was pulled by the music, and the charcters actions also had an effect on the sounds all around. The magic in the game also had great sound differing on which attack you used making the fights really seem alive.
This game is a role playing game, hack and slash. This game also has speach scenes like other games made by the same company, but just a little watered-down. You can get teammates in game also and this can be fun to level them up to learn their unique skills. The leveling system is also very simple and easy to use, and when you get powers you can access them easily with the power wheel, making the game play flow simply.
This is one of those games with many beginnings and endings depending on choices and classes. You may have a very different story if your either good karma or evil, and if your a human, elf, or dwarf this can have a very different pul on the karma. This game may take four or five playthroughs to get all the endings.
This game is a must have for anyone looking for a long game and a generally good story. It had me thinking the whole time on situations and strategically planning my moves. You may have to use your brain, which really pulls this game away from the generic hack and slash. I recommend this game for any one looking for a long heavy story. The only thing that really pulls this game away from a perfect score is the fact that you don't have many looks to choose from when creating your charcter.
