Secret Missions

Air Brawl

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies can only be damaged while airborne.

Launch the enemies to the air and perform air combos to kill them. More aerial rave moves will become available as you upgrade your weapons.

Simple Traversal

• Reach the goal within the time limit

This is a really easy time-attack race with simple obstacles.

Simple Eradication

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

Use every move and skill you know at your disposal to kill all enemies within the time limit.

Demonic Conflict

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies can only be damaged by Demon weapons

For this mission, you have to exclusively use either Arbiter or Eryx. Upgrading your demon weapon allows more and improved moves to be used.

Angelic Warfare

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies can only be damaged by Angel weapons

For this mission, you have to exclusively use either Osiris or Aquila. Upgrading your weapon allows more and improved moves to be used.

Rapid Descent

• Reach all goals within the time limit.

You have to step and “collect” each goal marker within the time limit.

A Taste of Heaven

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies and Dante die in one hit

You have to be careful with the pacing of your attacks and combos as some of them tend to leave you vulnerable. Be wary of enemy projectiles and their aggressive charges. Just use fast, wide-ranged combos like that of the Aquila and evade often.

Stylish Victory

• Gain an S rank within the time limit

Your Style Rank increases by chaining combos using different moves and weapons. This chain is downgraded whenever you get hit or damaged. Just attack aggressively and chain the combos you have at the moment. If you’re having issues getting an S rank, you may want to try them in the game’s Training menu.

Bait and Switch

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies only take damage while the demon evade damage bonus is active

The demon evade is one of the defensive Abilities you can purchase. This can be triggered by pressing evade while a demon weapon is equipped.

The Power Within

• Kill all enemies before Dante’s devil trigger expires

• Each enemy killed restores some of Dante’s devil trigger

You’ll be in devil trigger mode during the mission. Move fast and kill quick; pull yourself towards the enemies or pull them to you.

What Goes Around

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies will take damage from other enemy’s attack

Lure the enemies in the same position as you then wait for the pathos to drop bombs. Get out of the explosive range before they detonate and you should be able to kill the two enemies. To kill the flying enemies, you have to hit and deflect their bombs mid-air so it explodes on their faces. Repeat until all of them goes down.

Moderate Traversal

• Reach the goal within the time limit

This route will feature mixed use demon pulls, angel lifts and angel boost.

Flawless Conquest

• Kill all enemies without taking any damage

You have to be mindful of your surroundings, especially the aggressive charges and projectiles of enemies. Since there’s no time limit, fight defensively as you would normally if your HP is critically low. Use quick attacks and aerial combos to lessen the risk of getting defeated by a cheap shot.

Colossal Triumph

• Kill the tyrant within the time limit

The easiest way to kill a Tyrant is by using the Arbiter. One simple way is to wait for it to charge, evade towards it then use demon pull on its back to topple it over. You can also use a fully charged Eryx uppercut but that requires precise timing.

Hasty Acquisition

• Gain the target number of red orbs within the time limit

It is recommended to use the Aquila here since its main combos cover a wide area and its attack speed is high as well. The objects you need to destroy are just located in the same street.

Displaced Skirmish

• Kill all enemies within the time limit

• Enemies will only take damage within the active zones

The green active zones changes places in the battlefield and also shrinks in size gradually. You may want to use demon pull or angel lift to get to the active zones as necessary.

Divergent Slaughter

• Kill all enemies

• Do not use the same attack twice

It is recommended to attempt this mission once you have purchased many upgrades to your weapons so you can have access to increased damage and more moves. You should be familiar with the combos and how to execute them as well. Take note that you can use the environment to kill them; if you can knock them off the platform (e.g. Arbiter’s attacks), they’ll instantly, saving you some combos.

Extreme Traversal

• Reach the goal within the time limit

This is the most challenging route so far and you have to be precise to avoid accidents.

A Day in Hell

• Kill all enemies

• Dante dies with one hit

There’s no time limit so again, fight defensively and carefully. Evade often and avoid getting sandwiched between them.

Subsistence

• Survive until the timer expires

• Each enemy killed restores some of Dante’s health.

In this mission, your HP is gradually drained. To keep yourself alive, you have to quickly and efficiently kill enemies. Target the weaker ones first and avoid getting damaged as much as possible. Try to perform more air combos then stomp the ground upon landing. This will keep the risk of getting damaged to a minimum. The Aquila is great for crowd control but it’s not powerful enough to kill enemies quickly.

Shenanigans

• Kill all enemies

This is a truly challenging one. You’ll face the two spectral rages and an upgraded witch. Target the witch first and use Aquila/Osiris to shatter her shields; Aquila’s Roundtrip is a very effective way of shattering the witch’s shield from a distance. It will be safer to keep fighting away from the rages, so you may want to lure them away, use Roundtrip then angel lift once the witch is stunned.

After taking out the witch, you’ll want to take out the Blood Rage. Remain mobile and perform air combos with Eryx or heavy strikes using Arbiter. The demon pull should be a helpful way of keeping the the two rages separated until you take it out.

Finally, the ghost rage. You can simply spam roundtrip to keep it stunned then switch to Osiris and use its spinning blade move to lift it to the air and switching to Aquila again to spam roundtrip.
