Introduction

Racing Car games have never really apealled to me, until I set upon Colin McCrae: DiRT. At first, I just ought the game for online purposes, and to compete against my friends online, which is when I learnt that there is a lot, lot more to this game than that.

Graphics

This gets a difinate 10/10 for graphics. They are stunning; the way it's completely realistic effects from tyres and such, no matter the surface that you drive upon. Being gravel, dirt, or tarmac, it's just jaw dropping.

The cars damage looks awesome, hitting a tree, damaging the front of the car, and you can actually the carnage it caused, with the dent being incredibly realistic. Also with the envirnment, colliding with it, it actually damages, braking fences, rubber tyres flying and such.

7 different driving views make it so you have a different driving experience everytime, from the driving seats, or a view behind the vehicle, excellent no matter where from.

Sound

The sound for this game is incredibly realistic, gaer shifting, engine sounds, braking, it all sounds superb, and adds to the gaming experience. You can hear the metal colliding when your vehicle rubs with another, or with the environment.

Each car has it's own unique sound, the buggy, truck or whatever you drive has it's own sound. The only flaw with the sound is in the off game, there is one boring song, that plays over and over, and can get very tedius.

Gameplay

With this game, you can have a fantastic gameplay experince, and should be the number one game for Rally fans worldwide. The leaderboard system on Xbox Live, places your time for each track up there to compare with the world's best DiRT players, and even comare your times with your best mates, for bragging right. Career Mode is excellent, with 11 tiers to complete, with different real life tracks, events, and drivers to compete against. You chose from 5 difficulties for each race, as you sum up your money winnings to by the cars, to improve your times, and make it easier for yourself later on in career mode!

Championship mode allows you to race in many different Rally championship, from single championships, like the Brittish Ultimate BP, to the Global Championships, including 6 countries, and 45 races

Online, where you can have 100 players competing for the best time in a single Hill Climb, or Rally event, for the points to climb up the standings. Play with your mates for fun, or ranked for the serious competitive edge, a gamer thrive

Lastability

This game can last a hell of a long time, with Career, taking a fair few amount of hours to complete, plus the championships take quite a long time to complete. And when you get bored of them, theres always testing your skill online, which can be one hell of a blast!

Overall

I would definately give this game around a 9 out of 10, because it's simply an amazing game, and the amazement lasts a long time, as all of the many tracks have stunning graphics, and decent environment that provide a challenge. As said, this is a MUST BY for Rally fans, that enjoy a touch of gaming.
