I have actually played this game before a few years ago, my brother decided to sell the game along with his xbox, while I was a few levels into the game. My youngest brother picked it up in blockbuster on sale and I finally finished the game with a 5:43:47 time on easy. I'm now playing on Medium and Hard.
The graphics aren't bad for an outdated console. A lot better than the graphics for Chaos Bleeds. The characters actually look like real people, compared to other games. The only downside are the teeth and tongues, which look terrible. Unfortunately the game is near impossible to play if you leave the brightness at norm. I turned the lighting up so I could actually see what I was doing. This is especially helpful in dark places like the cemetary level for example.
This is the best background music I've heard in a while. Much better than the Chaos Bleeds boring background. It's great music. The voices are clear and so are the sound effects. Buffy's death scream is a little excessive and long.I prefer to mess around with the sound so that the music is louder than the sfx and voices.
The gameplay is pretty smooth. You can skip past almost all the cinematic scenes. A lot of them you don't need to hear to play the rest of the game anyway, like the scene below sunnydale, with spike and dru. It's way too long. Buffy is pretty easy to manuevre, but I find it irritating when you jump and she doesn't grab the ledge that she's supposed to jump on, which means more shimmying, which is annoying.
This game is fun to play over and over again. Especially if you're a hardcore buffy fan. I have both this and Chaos Bleeds. I'm currently playing this game on hard and medium. Nothing in the game really gets old or boring, besides the shimmying, that is if you don't keep dying.
The only bad thing I found with this game is the fact that most of the time you kill something you get slayer power. This is annoying, because unless you bother to use special moves this does nothing. It really needs more health. I love this game it's great, very inventive, to use a malevolant being that we've never met and other demons that we've never seen in the tv series. Another side of buffy.
