Assassin's Creed:Brotherhood is, contrary to popular belief, a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed 2, and somewhere between another main game in the series and a spin-off. It's picks off after Assassin's Creed 2 (wherever that was) and follows Ezio Auditore de Firenze as he battles it out with a new enemy, Cesaere Borgia, son of the New Pope and (arguably) main antagonist of Assassin's Creed 2. It also throws in some new characters (I think).
Maybe it's my TV, but I can't really tell that well between good and bad graphics. I can tell the difference between an old PS2 game and MGS4, but not between Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2, so I dunno how reliable on this section. But even I can tell that the graphics in cutscenes tend to be quite excellent. Normal gameplay graphics are like AC 2 though.
Who actually cares about sound?
But anyway, it has a decent sound, with a lot of background noise, like people talking, and a bustling market if you're near to one, that sort of stuff, etc etc.
Emm, what else can I say? You can hear the stuff, surely that's enough?
Who buys a game based on the sound quality?
Gameplay in this game is a lot better than the other 2. You still have the ol' wait for them to attack then counter them way to fight, which usually follows an epic storm into wherever you have to get into, but Brotherhood features a lot more stealth than the other 2. You quite often have to infiltrate areas undetected, and silently take out guards, something which was not mandated or even really facilitated in the other 2 games. Also with the addition of the crossbow (2 games late) you don't need to go hopping across rooftops to take out those pesky archers. It's also a much smoother killing experience, allowing to take out mass groups quickly, with an "execution streak" where one lethal hit allows you to select another from immediate removal from the living, and easy access to either the pistol or throwing knives (depending on which weapon you're using). And if you're having trouble, you can even call in your own little band of assassins to aid you, or even kill your target on their own. So, to some up, more sneaking, but at no cost.
Brotherhood also features a new Multiplayer. Unfortunately though, it is far from perfect. Like MW2, it is ruined by the community, a lot of whom simply run around and kill you, instead of stealthily stalking, like the game is designed for. This people are hard avoid, and hard to catch, effectively ruining the game. But, if you get a no runner game, it is pretty damn good.
This is unfortunately where Brotherhood mostly fails, as with all the other Assassin's Creed games. It simply has no replay value at all, and while it's fun on the first playthrough, that only lasts for so long. Luckily though it now has Multiplayer, which does increase it somewhat, but is still far from perfect.
Overall, Brotherhood is a pretty good game. More tactical, more sneaky, it is the best Assassin's Creed so far, and definitely worth the cost. Really the only let downs in this game is the no replay value, and the story, which as with the others is very confusing. But those aside, a must have definitely.
