Galarian Pokemon Forms Announced For Sword & Shield!

Because it was looking more and more evident that Armored Evolutions will not be coming to Pokemon Sword and Shield, and since Mega Evolutions were already told not to be found in these same games, fans of the Pokemon Franchise were starting to expect no additional Pokemon or Forms to be revealed within these games that aren't apart of the new 8th Generation. However, in the August Reveal Trailer for Pokemon Sword & Shield, the Pokemon Company introduce what are known as Galarian Forms.

Now, yes, Galarian Forms are just like Alolan Forms. Galarian Forms will be given to a number of older Pokemon, and these forms usually see a difference for these older Pokemon where their appearances and abilities are concerned. In the August Update, it was revealed that Zigzagoon, Linoone and Weezing would be receiving Galarian Form.

Galarian Weezing will be a Poison/Fairy Type Pokemon, now purifying the air around it instead of causing more harm to it. Galarian Zigzagoon and Linoone will each be Dark/Normal Type Pokemon, and, believe it or not, will have an additional Pokemon added to its Evolution Chain (but only through its Galarian Chain).
