A report just released has revealed that Assassin's Creed Origins has won the title for the most talked about game of E3 2017 on social media with over 75K mentions. The report was obtained by tracking over 2.7 million English-language mentions of E3 2017 between 10th and 13th June 2017.

So why are so many people talking about Assassin's Creed Origins?

Assassin's Creed Origins has changed the formula from previous installments in the series and has now embraced an action RPG element that inlcudes maps and more free-form action than previous titles in the series. One of the biggest features is the addition of boss fights, something fans of the franchise have been craving for a long time.

Where is Assassin's Creed Origins set?

The game itself is set in Ancient Egypt in the year 1354 during the rise of Cleopatra and depicts the chronicles of new protagonist Bayek’s exploits in the ancient city of Thebes. This means the plot takes place a thousand years before the Assassins’ and Templars’ founding.

Who is Bayek?

Bayek is a skilled Medjay Egyptian warrior and assassin who is tasked with protecting the people from threats both local and foreign by dispensing his own interpretation of 'Justice'.

What's new?

The combat system has changed from previous Assassins Creed games and is now more akin to The Witcher 3. This means you have more control over which enemies you target, and it gives you a wider range of attacks. Another big change is that the game is now more of an RPG than ever before with the introduction of several additional inventory slots and an ability upgrade screen which is a skill tree that is designed to help you tailor combat and exploration to your playstyle.

When is it released?

Assassin's Creed Origins launches on October 27 on the Xbox One X and will feature 4K gameplay.
