Ash-Pikachus To Be Released Starting In April

The exclusive Ash-Pikachus (otherwise known as Pikachu-Wearing-Caps and Ash-Hats-Pikachu) are set to be released in Japan starting on April 15th, with a different Ash-Pikachu being released into Pokemon Sun & Moon every two weeks. These events correspond to the upcoming seventeenth movie in the anime series that recapture the moment Ash and Pikachu first became friends - players in Japan actually have to prebook to see the film in order to receive the serial codes for these events - and it will mean that each different hat form of Ash-Pikachu will now no longer be tradelocked in Sun & Moon.

Players in Japan will receive one Serial Code that comes with the special Pikashumium Z Z-Crystal which activates its special Z-Move, 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. Original Cap Pikachu can be obtained from April 15th to May 1st, and then again from July 19th to July 31st; Hoenn Cap Pikachu can be obtained from May 3rd through May 15th, and then again from August 2nd to August 14th; Sinnoh Cap Pikachu can be obtained from May 17th to May 29th, with a second chance on August 16th to August 28th; Unova Cap Pikachu can be obtained from May 31st to June 12th, with a repeat on August 30th to September 11th; Kalos Cap Pikachu can be obtained from June 14th to June 26th, and again on September 13th to Sepetember 25th; and finally, Alola Cap Pikachu can be obtained from June 28th to July 17th, with a follow-up chance from September 27th to October 9th. Each serial code can only be used once.

There is no other news on whether or not our regions of the world will also have a chance at these events at some point.
