Finalists announced for The Steam Awards

Steam are preparing for a vote for the 2016 Steam Awards. The list of nominations (over 15 million of them) for their creatively titled awards have been being collected since November and now The Steam Selection Committee has revealed its list of 2016 Nominees.

The awards are for 8 less than mainstream categories as you will see below and what was originally meant to be a 9th write in category has turned into 4 additional awards as so many suggestions were put forward. Voting for the awards can be done each day from December 22nd to December 30th. One of the initial 8 awards will the available to vote on each day for 24 hours and then the final 4 write in awards will be open on the final day.

The “Just 5 More Minutes” Award – You have an early day tomorrow. You need to get some sleep, so you’re just going finish one more thing before you decide to tuck in for the night. Just one more. Wait, one more. What’s that you say? It’s 2:30 AM? This award is for the game that keeps you playing late.

Words will come out of your mouth that would make your mom blush.
