Ten Pokemon Cards That Could Be Worth a Fortune

6) Pokemon Shining Cards

Known to deal a lot of damage on the battle field, these are rare and difficult to find. One may speculate that this is because they were so powerful in the right hands. Others may say that because they were so useless in the wrong hands, it may not even be worth having owned one. However, today they go unfound on eBay, Etsy, or any other bidding website you can possibly think of. This is a special case where we have no actual location to buy one, because I searched for hours and could not find a thing. Sorry!

7) Full Art EX Cards

Again, no buying price here. These can range from $30 to $300 in value, and again, were not quite as appreciated as the others, mostly because the fad had died off by the time they were even released (I have never owned or even seen one). These were a “new breed” of Pokemon cards that did not emerge for some time (really they became so valuable because no one was playing at the time, thus it was of less value and people just hung onto them). Not many were made because of this, emphasizing their rarity. You can actually find entire decks of these cards on eBay for as little as $30, but I feel that they are worth more.

8) 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard, Venusair, Blastoise

We found an example of these on ebay on sale for $10,000 for a 9-card set. With those sort of numbers you can suddenly see the value of the Charizard card. Venusair was another “3rd phase” character, as was Blastoise, and anything 1st Edition – just like baseball cards – will fetch a pretty penny if you are willing to pay for it. This is honestly a better deal than $5,000 for a misprinted card.
