Top 15 Toughest Pokemon Battles of All-Time

#3 - Rival (Pokemon Stadium 2)

Silver was one of the most iconic characters in all of Pokemon, and his team was truly in all its fame and glory in Pokemon Stadium 2. If you thought Mewtwo was bad back in Pokemon Stadium, you wouldn't believe the Pokemon they give him.

Silver - aka Rival - doesn't just have Mewtwo on his team, but also the Legendary Tower Duo of Lugia and Ho-Oh! This is almost unbelievable, and he makes for one tough out. They just have so much bulk and power, and they can easily sweep through teams.

But we hold off a little bit from his team since two of his Pokemon are weak to Dark Type Pokemon. Plus, Ho-Oh is seriously easily to kill off if you have the proper Rock Type Pokemon. But don't think for a second they will go down as easy as we say, because they won't. Not even your battle with Red in Pokemon Stadium 2 will compare to this team.

#2 - Final Battle N & Ghetsis (Black / White)

Why is it that the creators of Pokemon think it's good to have you battle two of the toughest trainers that the world has ever seen, and back-to-back no less? It's almost not fair, and they do this very thing in the first games of the Fifth Generation.

Now N wasn't the toughest trainer in the world, but he still had Zekrom or Reshiram on hi[img][/img] s team. He even had some of the best Unova Pokemon like Zoroark, Klinklang, and Archeops on his team (along as Vanilluxe and Carracosta), which gave his great coverage among opposing teams. And let's not forget, he also had four full restores.

But the real challenge comes with Ghetsis, the greatest trainer in the game outside of Alder. He has the best Unova Pokemon in his team, including the likes of Cofagrigus, Bouffalant, Seismitoad, Bisharp, Eelektross and Hydreigon. Not to forget, he, too, has four full restores of his own.

Man... Were they tough as hell... Thankfully you have a Legendary Pokemon on your team...
