Like horror movies, it is not what you see that scares you, it is how you feel that really scares you. You will take control of the character named James Sunderland. James received a message that his wife has passed away and he decided to visit the town of Silent Hill. After reaching the town, he will realize that there is something wrong about this town. It seems to be completely isolated from the rest of the world and all the citizens here has a dark past.

Most of the time you have to solve puzzles in order to progress in the game. You may have to collect some important clues or documents in order to solve them. The difficulty level is quite high; you will have to work hard. One of the best things in the game is the mapping system. It is extremely friendly and clearly shows the entire town and all the places you have visited before.

Throughout the game, you will meet lots of monsters. However, the monsters are slightly slow and you can easily kill them. The best thing about the game has to be its graphics and the background music. Although the monsters are slightly weak, but they are expertly designed and scary enough to give you the chills. The tense, creepy background music playing throughout the game really sets up the mood. Overall, it is a very well made game and will surely please all the gamers.
