Ranking the Six Johto Megas
#1 - Mega Tyranitar
Like we said... The number one Johto Mega Evolution is AWESOME...
Mega Tyranitar is one of the Pseudo Legendary Pokemon to receive a Mega Evolution. Most Pokemon Fans believe that all Pseudo Legends will receive a Mega Evolution, and Mega Tyranitar was the first to receive one. Tyranitar was already an INCREDIBLE Pokemon, and Mega Tyranitar just takes this strength to a WHOLE NEW, BETTER LEVEL.
Mega Tyranitar, to put it simple, is INCREDIBLE. It defensive stats are off the chart! 100 Base Hit Points Stat! 150 Base Defense Stat! 180 Base Special Defense (After Sandstorm 50% Boost)! THose are some crazy defensive stats... Just wow... Mega Tyranitar can literally take everything thrown at it, and we're serious. Just try to defeat this thing in battle... It will annoy you to DEATH. And on top of all of that... Mega Tyranitar has a Base Attack Stat of 164! What in the world is going on here? These stats are INSANE! On top of being able to withstand attack after attack, Mega Tyranitar can also DEMOLISH Pokemon with its offensive power.
We would mention some sort of defect where Mega Tyranitar is concerned, but there really isn't. We guess the worst thing with it is that it UBER weak to Fighting and Fairy Type Pokemon. But like we said, THAT'S ABOUT IT. If it didn't have these two weaknesses, Mega Tyranitar would be almost UNBEATABLE. It would be up in the realm of the status of Mega Rayquaza, which no other Pokemon is at. Mega Tyranitar would be there if this wasn't the case, but still, it's pretty darn close.Mega Tyranitar is clearly the best Johto Mega Evolution, and one of the best Mega Pokemon - and Pokemon in general - in existence. Mega Ampharos, Mega Steelix, Mega Houndoom, Mega Heracross, and even Mega Scizor, just don't compare.

Mega Scizor and Mega Heracross are pretty darn good, but they simply don't compare to it. Pseudo Legendary Pokemon, just from their stats, are incredibly strong Pokemon, and their Mega Evolutions have all been - at least from the ones released so far - even better. It only made sense for Mega Tyranitar to top our list, and we're sure almost all Pokemon Fans would agree (but it's okay if you don't).

Mega Houndoom: It also didn't get THAT great of an ability. Drought may take Mega Houndoom's Special Attack to a whole nother level, but that HAS to happen in the sunlight. Without the sunlight, Mega Houndoom remains that mediocre Pokemon. Drought also causes Mega Houndoom to lose crucial Hit Points, which is NEVER good. Something like Drought would have been much better, since it would have further boosted its Fire Type Attacks.
