Top 10 Sinnoh Pokemon That Deserve a Mega Evolution

#4 - Floatzel

Coming in as the fourth most deserving Sinnoh Pokemon to receive a Mega Evolution is Floatzel. Now Floatzel was the lead Pokemon of Crasher Wake, and it was one good Pokemon. It had the speed to run circles around most Pokemon, and it also had a surprisingly strong Attack. It had the ability to sweep teams, especially since it was at a much higher level than your Pokemon. But since then, Floatzel has kind of gone done hill. It just isn't seen much in the World of Pokemon these days, but a Mega Evolution could easily change that.

Unlike most Mega Evolutions that remain similar after Evolving, Floatzel will change a lot. First off, it would no longer become a Physical Sweeper. Instead, we think a lot of the 100 Base Stat Mega Evolution Boost would go to its Special Attack. We also think it will have some of its Attack Stat taken away. We also think it would receive a HUGE Boost to its Base Speed Stat, along with a few smallish boosts to its defensive stats. Along with these new stats will come a new but simple secondary typing: Ice. It would give Floatzel a much need secondary STAB, and it would unleash some AWESOME Ice Beams and Hydro Pumps. And finally, it wouldn't be a brand new Pokemon without a new ability. At first, we had trouble thinking of a good ability for Mega Floatzel. It would already have enough Speed and Special Attack to sweep teams, and you have to keep that in consideration. So we ended up deciding upon Glaciate for its ability. This will cause any Normal Type Attacks to become boosted and then turn into a STAB Ice Type Attack for Mega Floatzel. It would probably be perfect for Floatzel, since something like Adaptability would make it just WAY TOO STRONG.

#3 - Sinnoh Starters

If you know anything about Pokemon and Mega Evolutions, you know it's most likely that ALL Starter Pokemon will eventually receive a Mega Evolution. And since we feel and think the same, we just don't think the Sinnoh Starters should be ranked as the most deserving. They could still each use one, but we feel coming in at third is the right place for them on this list. All of them would receive relatively simple Mega Evolutions.

As a Mega Evolution, Infernape would really just continue off of its Normal Form. It would most likely receive most of its 100 Mega Evolution Stat Boost to its Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. Infernape will never be a defensive Pokemon, so there would be no need to invest in it as a Mega Evolution. Hopefully it will at least receive a new ability, because the ones it has now are pretty useless. Adaptability would make it OFF THE CHART, but Sheer Force or something similar will do.

Mega Empoleon would continue to be a bulky Water / Steel Type, but who'll be more of a Physical Pokemon now. We see most of its 100 Base Stat Boost going to its Special Defense, Defense, and Attack (instead of its Special Attack). We can even see it losing A LOT of its Special Attack to further boost these stats. You may be wondering why we think it would become more of a Physical Attack as a Mega Evolution, but that's because we think Mega Empoleon would keep Defiant as its Ability.

And finally... When it comes to Mega Torterra, it too would be relatively the same as Torterra. We feel most of its stat boost will happen in its Attack and Defense, with a smaller boost to its Special Defense. It could even lose some Special Attack to further help these other areas. We think it would be cool if it too would receive an offensive ability like Adaptability, but Regenerator, Magic Bounce or some other defensive ability would also be fine.
