Top 10 Unlikely Celebrity Gamers You Might Have Played With

02. Zachary Levi (Xbox)

With his role as uber-nerd Chuck under his belt you might think that would make him an obvious gamer, but in real life stars in Hollywood are rarely like the characters they play in movies and on TV. Not true in his case however!

Once you start talking to him - or rather he starts talking to you, it quickly becomes obvious that Levi is an intelligent thinking gamer's gamer. He has serious expectations from modern gaming, and high standards.

When asked by GamerHub about his thoughts on next gen gaming, Levi said: 'I really want to play with the machines themselves. I've been preaching for ten years that we're coming to the place where there is no more video game, there is no more movie, it's content, that's what it is. It will all stream to one box,' he declared. 'That’s why I am so excited about Xbox - they really have embraced that.'

He goes on to explain that he wants to see all the titles that he loves now, but as they are built for the brand new generation. He singled out the new Call of Duty, the new Battlefield, and grew very excited about Destiny, which he says looks sick.

His standing as a serious gamer was well established by the time he hosted the VGAs, and the fact that he is a traditionalist raises his cosmic standing in the gamer community.

In an interview with CNN Levi explained: 'When 'Gears of War 3' came out, I was fully addicted to that for quite some time. Then 'Modern Warfare 3' came out, and I'm at level 63 right now, and I'm kind of a purist so I always go through the campaign first. I never really liked when people go get a game like 'Modern Warfare,' and jump right into multi-player, and skip the campaign.'

In an interview with MLG Levi declares himself a console gamer - 'I was never a PC gamer; I’ve always been a console gamer. Obviously, there was a good amount of online PC gaming before Xbox Live. Xbox Live was really the first outlet for me.'

In terms of online gaming and its multi-player side, Levi says you are most likely to encounter him in the online side of an FPS title and specifically the Modern Warfare series.

'I’m only a level 63 right now on Modern Warfare 3,' Levi told MLG. 'I have to play a little bit of catch-up, but essentially once you’ve got your favorite gun and your favorite perks, then you don’t really need to level up anymore, you just go and get some kills. I put myself up there pretty well.'
