At the 'Title' screeen before inserting coins enter the following codes to unlock the corresponding mode.

Unlock Original Mode:

Press Start, Left, Fire, Jump, Fire, Jump, Fire, Jump.

Unlock Super Mode:

Press Left, Start, Fire, Jump, Up, Down, Start, Right.
