Ordinances are a new feature in Animal Crossing New Leaf. They relate to the power you have as mayor. When you officially become mayor, you can change the town's ordinance, changing the way the town runs. There are 4 ordinances which all vary in ways to improve your town. They are as followed:
Keep (your town) Beautiful
- This ordinance is probably the most useful ordinance in New Leaf. It allows all flowers to never wilt, ever, less weeds to appear, no cockroaches to appear in houses and for garbage from rivers and oceans to disappear. This ordinance is extremely useful for if you are a player who can't find much time to play and water their flowers on weekdays.
- This ordinance is extremely useful for players who like to play Animal Crossing early in the morning. All shops will open a whopping 3 hours earlier than usual! Also, villagers will wake up much earlier than usual.
- This ordinance is very useful for players who like to play late at night, since it keeps shops open an extra 3 hours! This ordinance is similar to the early bird ordinance, since villagers will also stay up several hours later than usual.
- This ordinance can be extremely useful for players that sell a heap of items and go beetle hunting every night. It has a pro and a con. The pro is that the amount of bells you receive from selling items will increase by 20%. But the con is that the price of every item in the shops will increase by 20% (includes island). For example if you sold rare fish that nabbed you 91,400 bells, you would get 109,680 bells if you had the Bell Boom ordinance.
Ordinances are a fantastic feature in Animal Crossing New Leaf which make the gameplay experience more enjoyable for players who play in a certain way.
