Badges

In Animal Crossing New Leaf there are 24 badges with bronze, silver & gold versions. To receive these badges, you must complete certain achievements. Once you do, Phineas the badge man will appear in your town. Talk to him to receive a badge! These are all the badges in the game & how to receive them:

Skilled Bug Catcher (Bronze): Catch 500 bugs.
Expert Bug Catcher (Silver): Catch 2000 bugs.
Master Bug Catcher (Gold): Catch 5000 bugs.

Insect Maniac (Bronze): Catch 50% (36/72) of bugs in the game.
Insect Encyclopedia (Silver): Catch 80% (58/72) of bugs in the game.
Prof. of Entomology (Gold): Catch all of the bugs in the game.

Skilled Angler (Bronze): Catch 500 fish.
Expert Angler (Silver): Catch 2000 fish.
Master Angler (Gold): Catch 5000 fish.

Fish Maniac (Bronze): Catch 50% (36/72) of fish in the game.
Fish Encyclopedia (Silver): Catch 80% (58/72) of fish in the game.
Prof. of Ichthyology (Gold): Catch all of the fish in the game.

Seafood Encyclopedia (Silver): Catch 80% (24/30) of seafood in the game.

Balloon Hunter (Bronze): Pop 30 balloons.
Balloon Buster (Silver): Pop 100 balloons.
Balloon Master (Gold): Pop 200 balloons.

Avid Bell Saver (Bronze): Save 1,000,000 bells in your bank.
Wealthy Bell Saver (Silver): Save 10,000,000 bells in your bank.
Tycoon Bell Saver (Gold): Save 100,000,000 bells in your bank.

Catalog Maniac Bronze (Bronze): Have 20% of all items in the game available in your catalog.
Catalog Maniac Silver (Silver): Have 50% of all items in the game available in your catalog.
Catalog Maniac Gold (Gold): Have 80% of all items in the game available in your catalog.

Good Shopper (Bronze): Spend 500,000 bells in shops in Main Street.
Expert Shopper (Silver): Spend 2,000,000 bells in shops in Main Street.
Master Shopper (Gold): Spend 5,000,000 bells in shops in Main Street.

Amateur Turnip Trader (Bronze): Sell turnips for a total combined profit of 500,000 bells.
Pro Turnip Trader (Silver): Sell turnips for a total combined profit of 3,000,000 bells.
Master Turnip Trader (Gold): Sell turnips for a total combined profit of 10,000,000 bells.

Backyard Gardener (Bronze): Plant 100 trees, bushes or flower seeds.
Village Gardener (Silver): Plant 250 trees, bushes or flower seeds.
Gardening Specialist (Gold): Plant 500 trees, bushes or flower seeds.

Weed Hunter (Bronze): Pull 500 weeds.
Weed Buster (Silver): Pull 2000 weeds.
Weed Menace (Gold): Pull 5000 weeds.
