The museum is run by the owl curator, Blathers. He will be sleeping during the day though you can wake him up to avail of his services.

Donations for Exhibits

Here you can have your collected fossils and artworks assessed and where you can donate one type of insect, fish, fossils and paintings to be set for display. It is recommended that you donate any new species you find since you won’t know when you’ll be able to capture them again.

Fossil Assessment

Fossils must be identified first. If the museum doesn’t have a specific fossil in display, Blathers will politely asked for it to be donated instead. You can have multiple fossils assessed. Duplicates of previously donated fossils will be returned and can be sold at a considerable amount of bells.

Artwork Assessment

Blathers can also identify real and fake artworks. Fake artworks are usually sold by the fox Redd. He sets up a tent in your town plaza occasionally and if you’re unfamiliar with the stuff he sells, it is most likely that you’ll have counterfeit artwork. Blathers will identify it without trouble and won’t take the artwork to the museum’s exhibit.

Exhibits

The museum boasts several spacious rooms and containers that will hold all the creatures you have donated. If you examine the signage for each display, you can see all the details about the individual creature, fossil and artwork on display.

Renovation

A second floor can be added to the museum, as long as the player meets the following requirements:

  • Lived in the town for at least 14 days

  • Donate a minimum of 20 items, one for each category

Once you’ve met the conditions, Blathers will talk to you about it and will make a suggestion to add it as one of the Public Works projects. The cost for the renovation is 198,000 bells. The donation gyroid is found in the train station.

After successfully building the museum’s second floor, you’ll be able to purchase the silver net and silver rod from Celeste (once you’ve met the requirements). You can also rent four personal exhibit halls for 10,000 bells each. There’s also a locker nearby which will allow you to access the items you have stored in your personal cabinet.

[b]Honestly, I have been having lots of trouble getting the museum shop. I donated way more than 20 things but now I understand I need to live in the town for more than 14 days. If I have anymore troubles I will be back for more advice. Could you do a part about Café please because it will help me unlock it. Btw I have way more than 50 items too. Thanks again.
