i just did similar with my samsung galaxy s2, i did it about 10 times before i decided to sack it in because it wasn't working, so i built a couple of flower beds and then suddenly my money went up by about 5000... don't know if it was because of the flower beds or from the other sequence but it helped me do what i needed to do

This cheat does work I've used if a "few" times and its awesome!! However I feel the need to warn you all if you are using this cheat to collect money and make your buildings complete faster be careful. I just had to delete my game because with the new Halloween update if you jump ahead in time Do Not click on the party boat Or when building the competion centre you have to let it run its course. Otherwise you will be unable to use these features for 1000+ hours. My party boat was 10000+ hours so I was unable to use it for the next year or so the same thing happened with the competition centre. So be carful the sims people are trying to stop these cheats!
