Is it possible to get another family to adopt a sim that has alr

I've been playing Sims Freeplay for a while now and haven't come across anything like what I had just discovered. Okay, so 2 of my sims were married and were having a baby (I clicked on the crib and used my 3LP to make a baby). During the 24hrs it takes to make a baby, I made my sims get a divorce and one of them left the family and got married to someone else. When the baby arrived, there was no sign of the child having parents under her name (where it would show the child's relationship eg. Mother or Father, it was just blank). She was born in the house that would've been where her parents lived, except her mother left and now her dad was a single father that was left with the child. They became best friends. When she became a preteen her father interacted with her and since they were Bestfriends there was an option that came up that said "Ask to Adopt" so I clicked on it and now it shows their relationship to one another under their names. I was wondering if anybody else has had this experience too and if I could, I guess "unadopt" the child and get another family to adopt her the same way I did with her father now?
