What happens if I skip "Two and a Half Sims"?

What happens if I skip "Two and a Half Sims"?

I don't want kids in The Sims, same as I do not want kids in real life. The "Two and a Half Sims" quest has just popped up and is counting down about 3 days. I'm assuming if I just ignore it, it'll expire and go away. But what is the roll-on effect? Will that stop me doing other things?

Two and a Half Sims stays until you complete it but if you complete it and you get your baby when you browse clothes on the baby on the corner it's going to have a ex with a sim on it then you click on it and you don't have the baby anymore

Now on Sims freeplay you just have to select the baby and then there will be a x sign with a red background then you tap that and it says are you sure you want to delete this sim then press yes and the baby is gone! Hope this helps!
