Make sure it's a big bed and not a small single bed. Clear both sides of the bed (move the table and closet). Make sure there is a space on each side of the floor by the bed. With one sim click on the bed and choose which one and do the same with the other sim.

You have to get a double bed then just put both of your Sims in one by one. Hope this helped.
