First you have to have Relocation switched on in Game Settings —> Controls.

Then during a battle in the top left corner of your screen you will see an icon with a soldier in the middle surrounded by two arrows, one pointing up one pointing down...this is the Relocation button.

Hit this during a fight and you will come out of that battle in order to then relocate on a new map node (in case of Tournament or Domination final battle) or a new territory node (in case of Domination playoffs).

I do not know the impact of ‘Relocating’, ie if your rank pts accumulated in that battle remain with that battle or if they are removed from the end scoring (an important point in Domination playoff battles). Maybe someone else can answer this.
