You just tap them and they should go away and they usually give you coins and 1 gem 
that's for the one I play on my Samsung galaxy note anyway, hope I could hel.p.

As with the above answer, you simply tap them and they poof and leave small rewards. However, you must have a coresponding harmony gem according to their color or they won't poof.

Different colored (freaking obnoxious) parasprites require different elemental shards. They each require one but you can prevent them from spawning by filling in at least 2x2 areas with unwanted items.Spoiler:

One parasprite costs one harmony gem of a matching color, so beware. They give you a random amount of bits from 0 to 20 when you click on them. It is usually best to leave them unless you need the space, otherwise something worse like a giant rock will grow there and cost a whole lot more 100 to 16000 bits to remove.

You can pleace pathways all over your village,or fill one pathway for one 2x2 area.
