There are a few ways of earning flutterbux,
If you continuously keep flying over the floating petals you will get one flutterbux. But that is a very slow way.
You can also complete goals that give you rewards of flutterbux like on that says, collect 50 floating seeds where you get on flutterbux.
If you do bug hunting for a while, you start getting futterbux instead of honeydew, for some of them.
