Use scouts for espoinage by sending them to enemy bases to gather intel. Scouts will also help defend your base against spies, the more active scouts you have the less effective the enemy espoinage attempts will be.

It is important that you upgrade your farms and build more whenever possible so that you are able to keep your army fed.

You will need to upgrade your barracks in order to increase the number of units that you can train for your army.

Make sure you use the time at the start of the game when you are given immunity from attacks by other players to build an army for defense. Your overall defense rating when other players attack is calculated by the number of units you have, their strength, and your other defensive options.

Use the crypt that you build when you do the tutorial to store units that you want to keep away from harm. Remember though that you will not be able to use those units to defend your castle while you are gone.

Make sure you open the gift box with the blue spiral at the bottom right corner of the 'Castle' screen every 15 minutes to receive a random reward. Rewards include resources and soldiers.
